Wireless Bicycle Taillight
FAQ

How does the “theft-deterrent alarm” work? What if it is a false alarm?

When in “LOCK” mode and motion is detected, the taillight will generate a loud alarm briefly. If motion is detected again within the next 12 seconds, an alarm will sound nonstop for 30 seconds, and then return to “LOCK” mode. If no additional motion is detected, the taillight will consider it a false alarm, and return to “LOCK” mode.

How do I locate my bike?

Press the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the remote control, the taillight will sound an ALERT and flash.

When the taillight is on or flashing, does the remote control work?

The LOCK and UNLOCK button will function normally, but the taillight will be switched off when either button is pressed. The HORN button will generate 6 short horn tones when Taillight is on.

What if I press and hold the HORN button?

When the device is not armed, press and hold “HORN” button to receive 3 short horn tones followed by a long horn tone when Taillight is off, or 6 short horn tones followed by a long horn tone when Taillight is on.

Why are the “HORN” and “FLASH” buttons not responding?

Make sure the device is disarmed and sufficiently charged. When the device is armed, “HORN” button and “FLASH” button are inactive.

When shall the taillight be recharged?

The wireless range of the remote becomes noticeably shorter or the light becomes weaker, the taillight shall need a recharge quickly. When an immediate recharge is needed, the taillight will become dim; the device will generate an additional du-du reminding sound when you press the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the remote control. When the battery is running too low, the remote control may no longer command the taillight until the taillight is recharged.

Why is the taillight not recharged?

Make sure the charging cable is correctly inserted into the charging port. We recommend using the original charging cable provided.

How do I know battery charging is complete?

The device has an automatic, fully charged cut-off system. When Taillight is charging, the light stays on. When it is fully charged, the light will turn off.

Why is the alarm not sensitive?

Make sure the taillight is sufficiently charged. Do not move the bike immediately after pressing the remote control “Lock” button that sounds an ALERT (3) times. You will hear anther ALERT sound after 5-6 seconds, and the taillight is in armed mode. If disturbed after 2 seconds, the alarm will sound.

Why does the alarm stop after a while?

When the device is armed and disturbed, the alarm will sound nonstop for 30 seconds if no attempt is made to disarm. After that, the device will become silent and return to armed mode until it is disturbed again.

Why does the remote control no longer command the taillight?

There are few reasons:
1. Remote Control cannot command Taillight when it is being charged. Unplug the charging cable from Taillight.
2. Taillight may be running out of battery, recharge Taillight for at least 2 to 3 minutes.
3. Remote Control battery needs replacement. Press any button on Remote Control, and see if the blue LED command and battery indicator is on or off. If it is off, Remote Control battery needs to be replaced. Use a small flat screw driver to pop open the plastic casing. Install a new 12V/27A alkaline battery. Press the top and bottom shells together until they snap together.
4. If it is none of the above. You will need to go through a “recode” process to pair Taillight and remote control. Make sure Taillight is sufficiently charged and the Remote Control’s battery is good. Press the blue button on Taillight for 2 seconds, and Taillight will sound an alert. Press any key on Remote Control, and Taillight will sound an alert 2 times confirming the completion of pairing. If the issue persists, it is likely Remote Controller’s battery is low and needs to be replaced.
